Sydney NSW, July 11, 2018 : Hot Import Nights (HIN) Australia presented by Hi-Tec Oils & the Colab Team is a highly-successful and globally-renowned automotive lifestyle event that returns to Sydney on Saturday 15th December 2018 at the Dome and Halls 2 & 3 in Sydney Olympic Park.
A curated festival originating from California, the Australian version celebrates the modified car culture, where cars are reconstructed into works of performing art & acknowledged with over sixty trophies for various categories. A car lover’s paradise, this year’s naming sponsor of the festival, Hi Tech Oils hosts plenty of exhibitors from the car, entertainment & gaming industries as well as food trucks & import models. For the first time, festival goers can expect to experience a FIBA certified 3 on
3 basketball tournament as well as electronic gaming Project Cars 2 and NBA2K contest organised by Hive Gaming & M Wave Australia.
Children & adults will be captivated by the Remote Control cars, and HIN will also be bringing out special hang out areas including a kids play area. The Model Lounge also returns, where eager fans can meet import models as well as contestants of the Miss Hot Import Nights Australia pageant. Winner of the Miss HIN 2017 Melissa Grace gave this advice to potential entrants “ Just be yourself and have fun” .
One of the major highlights at HIN AU was the unveiling of the secret project car. With over 100 working man hours and eleven different teams of specialists, the finished product in 2017 saw the Nissan 350Z Rocket Bunny remodeled to a sleek head turner. Whilst reluctant to divulge further details of the next highly anticipated project car, owner Chook Tran did reveal that “HIN Australia’s 2018 next project car will be in collaboration with J Racing; a multiple award winning workshop who is no stranger to the show car scene in Australia since the old Auto Salon days“ .
